Quick Reference

The SQL Server LOG() function returns the natural logarithm of a specified number, or the logarithm of the number to the specified base.

SELECT LOG(7);

Output

1.9459101490553132

Syntax

LOG(number)

// or

LOG(number, base)

Parameters

numberA number greater than 0 (required)
baseThe base of the number parameter; must be greater than 1
