Quick Reference
The MySQL SUBTIME() function subtracts time from a time/datetime expression and then returns the new time/datetime.
The following subtracts 10.000001 seconds from the specified date/time.
SELECT SUBTIME('2023-04-15 12:30:20.000100', '10.000001');
Output
SUBTIME('2023-04-15 12:30:20.000100', '10.000001')
2023-04-15 12:30:10.000099
Syntax
SUBTIME(datetime, time_interval)
Parameters
Parameter | Description |
---|---|
datetime | The time or datetime to be modified (required) |
time_interval | The time interval (positive or negative) to subtract from the datetime (required) |
