Quick Reference
The MySQL SUBDATE() function subtracts a time/date interval from a date and then returns the new date.
SELECT SUBDATE('2023-06-15', INTERVAL 2 MONTH);
Output
SUBDATE('2023-06-15', INTERVAL 2 MONTH)
2023-04-15
Syntax
SUBDATE(date, INTERVAL value unit)
// or
SUBDATE(date, days)
Parameters
Parameter | Description |
---|---|
date | The original date (required) |
days | The number of days to subtract from date (required) |
value | The value (positive or negative) of the time/date interval to subtract (required) |
unit | The type of interval (required)
