Quick Reference
The MySQL IF() function returns a value if a condition is TRUE, or another value if a condition is FALSE.
SELECT IF(5 < 10, 'YES', 'NO');
Output
IF(5 < 10, 'YES', 'NO')
YES
Syntax
IF(condition, value_if_true, value_if_false)
Parameters
Parameter | Description |
---|---|
condition | The value to test (required) |
value_if_true | The value to return if condition is TRUE (required) |
value_if_false | The value to return if condition is FALSE (required) |
