The PHP krsort() function sorts an associative array in descending order, according to the key.

krsort($a);
print_r($a);

Output

Array ( [Num 3] => 6 [Num 2] => 18 [Num 1] => 12 )

Syntax

krsort(array, sorttype)

Parameters

Parameter	Description
array	Specifies an array (required)
sorttype	Specifies how to compare the array elements/items: 0 = SORT_REGULAR - Compare items normally (don't change types) (default) 1 = SORT_NUMERIC - Compare items numerically 2 = SORT_STRING - Compare items as strings 3 = SORT_LOCALE_STRING - Compare items as strings, based on current locale 4 = SORT_NATURAL - Compare items as strings using natural ordering 5 = SORT_FLAG_CASE - Can be combined (bitwise OR) with SORT_STRING or SORT_NATURAL to sort strings case-insensitively

1 = SORT_NUMERIC - Compare items numerically

2 = SORT_STRING - Compare items as strings

3 = SORT_LOCALE_STRING - Compare items as strings, based on current locale

4 = SORT_NATURAL - Compare items as strings using natural ordering

5 = SORT_FLAG_CASE - Can be combined (bitwise OR) with SORT_STRING or SORT_NATURAL to sort strings case-insensitively

PHP Notes:

When using PHP, single or double quotation marks are acceptable and work identically to one another; choose whichever you prefer, and stay consistent
Arrays count starting from zero NOT one; so item 1 is position [0], item 2 is position [1], and item 3 is position [2] … and so on
