Quick Reference
The PHP ftp_connect() function opens an FTP connection to the specified host.

ftp_connect(host, port, timeout)Parameters
| Parameter | Description |
|---|---|
| host | Specifies the FTP server to connect to using a domain address or an IP address (should not be prefixed with "ftp://" or have any trailing slashes) (required) |
| port | Specifies the port of the FTP server (default is port 21) |
| timeout | Specifies the timeout for all subsequent network operations (default is 90 seconds) |
PHP Notes:
- When using PHP, single or double quotation marks are acceptable and work identically to one another; choose whichever you prefer, and stay consistent
- Arrays count starting from zero NOT one; so item 1 is position [0], item 2 is position [1], and item 3 is position [2] … and so on
