Quick Reference
The PHP array_pad() function inserts a specified number of elements, with a specified value, to an array. If you assign a negative size parameter, the function will insert new elements BEFORE the original elements.
<?php
$a = array('Lamborghini', 'Ferrari');
print_r(array_pad($a, 8, 'Maserati'));
?>
Note
Arrays count starting from zero NOT one. So item 1 is position [0], item 2 is position [1], and item 3 is position [2] … and so on.
Output
Array ( [0] => Lamborghini [1] => Ferrari [2] => Maserati [3] => Maserati [4] => Maserati [5] => Maserati [6] => Maserati [7] => Maserati )
