The vertical-align property sets the vertical alignment of an element.

These are the allowed values.

lengthRaises or lower an element by the specified length; negative values are allowed

subThe element is aligned with the subscript baseline of the parent
superThe element is aligned with the superscript baseline of the parent
topThe element is aligned with the top of the tallest element on the line
text-topThe element is aligned with the top of the parent element's font
middleThe element is placed in the middle of the parent element
bottomThe element is aligned with the lowest element on the line
text-bottomThe element is aligned with the bottom of the parent element's font
initialSets this property to its default value
inheritInherits this property from its parent element

Using JavaScript

The HTML element can also be styled using JavaScript and the element’s id.
