The text-indent property specifies the indentation of the first line in a text-block. The first line will be outdented to the left if the value is negative.

Value | Description |
---|---|
length | Defines a fixed indentation in px, pt, cm, em, etc. (default value is 0) |
% | Defines the indentation in % of the width of the parent element |
initial | Sets this property to its default value |
inherit | Inherits this property from its parent element |
Using JavaScript
The HTML element can also be styled using JavaScript and the element’s id.
