The scroll-behavior property specifies whether a user’s click is to smoothly scroll position, instead of instantly jumping, to the new page section.

| auto | Allows a straight jump "scroll effect" between elements within the scrolling box (default) |
| smooth | Allows a smooth animated "scroll effect" between elements within the scrolling box |

| inherit | Inherits this property from its parent element |

The HTML element can also be styled using JavaScript and the element’s id.
