The max-height property defines the maximum height of an element. It can be smaller in height, but not larger than the specified size value.

| none | No maximum height (default) |
| length | Defines the maximum height in px, cm, etc. |
| % | Defines the maximum height in percent of the containing element |
| initial | Sets this property to its default value |
| inherit | Inherits this property from its parent element |
Using JavaScript
The HTML element can also be styled using JavaScript and the element’s id.
