The border-bottom property is a shorthand property for all the other properties a CSS bottom border can be given.

These are the allowed values.

Value	Description
border-bottom-width	Specifies the width of the bottom border (default value is "medium")
border-bottom-style	Specifies the style of the bottom border (default value is "none") (required)
border-bottom-color	Specifies the color of the bottom border (default value is the color of the text)
initial	Sets this property to its default value
inherit	Inherits this property from its parent element

Using JavaScript

The HTML element can also be styled using JavaScript and the element’s id.

document.getElementById('my_div').style.borderBottom = 'red solid thin';
